Tech tycoon Elon Musk was criticized for his treatment of employees by actor Alec Baldwin during a heated argument on the daytime talk show “The View.” Baldwin branded Musk a “scumbag.”
The incident happened while people were debating Musk’s recent contentious comments over the COVID-19 epidemic. Baldwin, a regular opponent of Musk, seized the chance to voice his displeasure with the business methods used by the multibillionaire.
Baldwin declared, “He’s a scumbag, plain and simple.” “He treats his employees poorly and is only concerned with increasing his personal wealth.”
Baldwin continued by charging Musk with mistreating his employees and establishing hazardous working conditions in his factories. Also, he chastised Musk for investing in space exploration, stating that the money would be better used for infrastructure and social projects.
Some of the other hosts on “The View” felt that Baldwin had been too critical of Musk in her remarks, and they accused her of being unkind.
He is a visionary and an inventor, according to co-host Sunny Hostin. “His contributions to the world’s well-being cannot be disputed.”
Baldwin refused to back down, stating he would keep speaking out against Musk and other affluent people who, in his opinion, are putting profits above people.
He declared, “I’m not going to back down.” “These guys need to be held responsible by someone,”
Musk did tweet shortly after the episode aired, saying that he is focused on “pushing mankind ahead” and that he is “not interested in responding with petty criticisms.” Musk has not directly commented to Baldwin’s remarks.
