Fox News host Greg Gutfeld appears to be supporting his longtime colleague Tucker Carlson following his sudden departure from the network.
News broke on Monday that Carlson had been released from his position. Gutfeld, who hosts his own show on Fox News, took to social media Wednesday to defend Carlson and to criticize his colleague, Geraldo Rivera, who had spoken out against Carlson’s comments.
In a tweet, Rivera had called Carlson’s theories “bullsh*t” and accused former President Trump of inciting an insurrection. Gutfeld responded to Rivera’s tweet by calling him a “class act” and a “real man of the people,” in what appeared to be a clear rebuke of Rivera’s criticism of Carlson.
The tweet quickly went viral, with many Fox News viewers rallying behind Gutfeld and Carlson.

Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly recently defended Carlson against accusations of promoting white supremacist ideology. Kelly called out left-wing commentator Keith Olbermann for comparing Carlson to a Nazi.
