Former Secret Service officer and popular political commentator Dan Bongino was hospitalized and required surgery.
Fortunately, Bongino will be making a full recovery as he sent a photo from his hospital bed.
Bongino also served as a New York Police Department officer from 1995 to 1999 before joining the Secret Service between 1999 to 2011. He gained massive popularity after he criticized President Obama’s words and actions behind closed doors.
The 12-year Secret Service veteran explained, “I was behind the scenes for 12 years. I’ve been in the room during some of the most important conversations.”
After many years in law enforcement as well as a long history of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing and wrestling, Bongino said he went to the hospital following bone spurs. He required “massive clean-up” surgery on his elbow.
“Doing okay!” he wrote. “Out of surgery and the doc did a massive clean up operation on my elbow.”
“Thanks for all of your prayers and messages. I really appreciate it.”
Bongino also noted that he began lifting weights at the age of 12 or 13 in a Muscle & Fitness interview.
“I have a long history with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing and wrestling,” the former New York Police Department officer said.
Bongino shared a medical scan of his surgically repaired elbow. “Straighter than it’s been in ten years. Big thanks to Dr. Florez.”
He currently hosts Unfiltered with Dan Bongino on Fox News as well as his nationally syndicated conservative talk radio show The Dan Bongino Show.
