Actor John Schneider of “Dukes of Hazzard” fame announced that his wife, Alicia, has died. She was 53 at the time of her passing.

Alicia had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 after she found lesions on her skin, though cancer was not confirmed as the cause of death by Schneider or other members of the family.

Announcing her passing in a Facebook post, Schneider said “My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus. Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions. If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”

He spoke about her passing in a longer Facebook post as well, saying:

This is a time of unimaginable sorrow for me. Grief is much too small a word. I’ve heard ot said that “with great love comes great sorrow.” I had no idea what that meant until now.

Alicia was the fuel that ran my biggest dreams. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together.

I miss her more than any words could possibly describe.

Pain is too small a word. Grief is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word.

Thank you for your thoughts, concerns and prayers.

Continue to post the glorious photos you captured of my Smile and I changing our world and sometimes yours, one kiss at a time because those images help.

Continue to pray for the strength of myself and my beautiful family to endure these most trying of times.

Should you see me out there somewhere on the stage or in line at a coffee shop please don’t ask me how I am. The answer is “broken” and it’s currently too difficult for me fathom and certainly to pa inful to verbalize.

She loved you all and spoke of how dedicated and loyal you have been all these years and I love you right along with her.

Bare with me down this rutted and treacherous road I never dreamed I’d have to travel. Be patient with my unimaginable process.

Thank you Lord for sharing the gift of Alicia with me. I‘ll never be the same and I know that, somehow, we are still and will always be the “Team To Beat.”

Breitbart, reporting on Alicia’s career and marriage to Schneider, said:

Alicia Allain had a brief career as an actress in the 1990s, but made her biggest impact in Hollywood as a producer with her company Maven Entertainment. She produced more than 20 films (with two still to be released). She also helped produce music and was an accomplished hairstylist and has eleven credits for makeup in films.

She met Schneider in 2015 and they were married four years later.

Schneider is one of the few anti-Biden Hollywood stars. After a hurricane hit Louisiana, he appeared on FNC and told the “Fox and Friends” hosts that Biden shouldn’t show his face in the state because of how he had referred to it, saying:

“It’s just a mess, but when I look at what you were just showing, by the way, those are community people coming out to help. We need to throw away all this BS about division. We need to remain united. The biggest strength we have in this country is ourselves. We need to do this and stay like this, throw all this other hogwash away, because as you can see, we need each other desperately.”

“We don’t need the government coming in and, by the way, I call this — we had a hurricane, we are about to have a flood, and we are about to have probably the worst natural disaster that can be because apparently Biden is going to come show his face in Louisiana and I wish he wouldn’t, I wish he wouldn’t. We have got more problems on our hands. We don’t need him.”
