Super Bowl champion quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed his coach’s exact words for anyone on the team who watched the halftime show performance.

“Coach Reid told us, he said, ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking, because you’re not playing the rest of the game,’” Mahomes said.

Chiefs went into the locker room losing by 10 to the Eagles, who were favored to win. The score at halftime was 24-14, but Chiefs went on to win the game.

Many people have applauded the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid for forbidding anyone from leaving the locker room to watch the halftime show.

During last year’s Super Bowl, Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson left the locker room to watch the halftime show. The team later lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 23-20.

President Donald Trump said he believed the halftime show was a “fail.”

“Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history,” Trump said. “This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language.”
