In the book, \u2018Will Smith: A Biography\u2019, it claims Will\u2019s dad put him off doing drugs when he was younger by driving him to tough neighbourhoods in Philadelphia to show him what it was like for people on such substances.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-19\" title=\"newspaperfolded \u2013 Good to Know\" src=\"https:\/\/newsc71.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/0_Will-copy-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"393\" height=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the fear of his father if he ever took drugs, he is quoted as saying: \u2018I felt my father would kill me. Literally.\u2019 Will has also previously praised his dad as a \u2018steady and positive figure\u2019 in his life. He once said: \u2018Dad was tough but not tyrannical.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He kept me in line. He\u2019d get this look that said, \u2018One more step, Will, and it\u2019ll get ugly. \u2018He was an independent businessman \u2013 he set up refrigeration in supermarkets \u2013 and he always provided for us.
