<\/p>\nWhoopi Goldberg, the actress and comedian who works as a cohost of the ABC talk show \u201cThe View,\u201d is furious with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.<\/p>\n
The host took issue with Carlson airing the never before seen videos of the incident at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n
\u201cTucker Carlson took a page from George Orwell\u2019s 1984 and told his viewers to reject the evidence of their eyes and ears,\u201d she hilariously said on Tuesday\u2019s show.<\/p>\n
Hilarious because what Carlson did was actually provide the evidence that no one was allowed to see for two years and somehow, to Goldberg, that means he wants his viewers to ignore the evidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, I don\u2019t know what he\u2019s playing at, but people saw what they saw, they saw what they saw. And they\u2019ve seen what\u2019s gone down with it, and no matter what, you can\u2019t put this monkey back in the cage,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
In the clip of Carlson\u2019s show that \u201cThe View\u201d played Carlson said \u201cThe crowd was an enormous crowd, a small percentage of them were hooligans.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey committed vandalism, you\u2019ve seen their pictures again and again, but the overwhelming majority weren\u2019t,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were peaceful, they were orderly and meek. These were not insurrectionists, they were sightseers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cProtesters queue up in neat little lines, they give each other tours outside the speaker\u2019s office. They take cheerful selfies and they smile,\u201d Carlson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re not destroying the capitol, they obviously revere the capitol,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
But Goldberg insulted Carlson\u2019s audience when she said<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was insurrection and just was what it was, so people are very upset. His viewers, maybe they\u2019re going to buy it, I don\u2019t know,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
