And he says, \u2018offer me money, offer me power. It was really unfair to Magneto<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when a journalist, Brian Krassenstein, tried to defend Soros and said,\u00a0<em>\u201cFun fact: Magneto\u2019s experiences during the Holocaust as a survivor shaped his perspective as well as his depth and empathy. Soro, also a Holocaust survivor, get\u2019s attacked nonstop for his good intentions which some Americans think are bad merely because they disagree with this political affiliations.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk didn\u2019t back down there either. Instead, he said, \u201c<em>You assume they are good intentions. They are not. He wants to erode the very fabric of civilization. Soros hates humanity.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Predictably, that got the Anti-Defamation Leauge very mad. Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the ADL, said that Musk\u2019s tweet \u201cwill embolden extremists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Soros often is held up by the far-right, using antisemitic tropes, as the source of the world\u2019s problems,<\/em>\u201d Greenblat\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JGreenblattADL\/status\/1658465143393595393?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweeted<\/a>. \u201cT<em>o see Elon Musk, regardless of his intent, feed this segment \u2014 comparing him to a Jewish supervillain, claiming Soros \u2018hates humanity\u2019 \u2014 is not just distressing, it\u2019s dangerous: it will embolden extremists who already contrive anti-Jewish conspiracies and have tried to attack Soros and Jewish communities as a result.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk then fired off two tweets in reply. In the first, he said,\u00a0\u201cHey stop defaming me,\u201d probably a joke because he was dealing with the Anti-Defamation League. In the second, he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1658531953329463303?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>,\u00a0\u201c<em>ADL should just drop the \u2018A.<\/em>\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Fox News Channel\u2019s leftist host Jessica Tarlov freaked out about Elon\u2019s comments,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/jesse-watters-tells-co-host-that-billionaire-george-soros-doesnt-need-her-protecting-him-before-immediately-defending-elon-musk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saying<\/a>, \u201cY<em>ou can make criticisms of [Soros]. But when he gets up there and he tweets that he is like Magneto, the Marvel villain who also was a Jewish person who survived the Holocaust, and then he says, \u2018Soros hates humanity,\u2019 and then \u2018The Jews\u2019 starts trending, you know exactly what you\u2019re doing if you\u2019re Elon Musk.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Continuing, she added, \u201cIt\u2019s beneath the genius of Elon Musk to be that petty and that lame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jesse Watters, responding,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/jesse-watters-tells-co-host-that-billionaire-george-soros-doesnt-need-her-protecting-him-before-immediately-defending-elon-musk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201c<em>They usually interview CEOs, investors, tech analysts. This guy is a software developer and innovator. Usually, when you interview a businessman, he doesn\u2019t share his opinion. He\u2019s not gonna say or do anything that\u2019s going to affect the bottom line. Elon\u2019s brain is not like that. Elon is a creator. He is trying to put people in outer space. He doesn\u2019t care about political correctness.
