Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest star of not only pop\/country but in all of music. As such, she mostly kept her political beliefs to herself during the early formative years of her career.<\/p>\n
Though most people suspected Swift would be a liberal, she was careful to keep that side of her under wraps. As Michael Jordan once said, \u00a0paraphrased of course, \u201cRepublicans buy shoes too<\/em>.\u201d Since the country music world mostly comprises conservatives, Swift made her name as a non-political country songstress.<\/p>\n That all changed in October 2018 when Swift made some strong pro-LGBTQ statements on her new record. She also started speaking out about perceived racial injustices. It was, of course, the same tired, false narrative that the left has parroted with great success for decades.<\/p>\n Her ideologic reveal also coincided with her full immersion into the pop scene. It simply isn\u2019t profitable to be a conservative pop star. Whether Swift believed the rhetoric or not, her conversion was complete.<\/p>\n With the 33-year-old in the middle of the \u201cEra\u2019s\u201d tour and Pride Month upon us, Swift made a point during her Chicago show to speak out and breathe new life into leftist causes. She\u00a0said<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m looking out tonight [and] I\u2019m seeing so many incredible individuals who are living authentically and beautifully, and this is a safe space for you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n This weekend in Chicago, Taylor Swift took a stand against anti-LGBTQ legislation, and stood by the LGBTQ community during Pride month.<\/p>\n She said: — Ed Krassenstein (@EdKrassen) June 4, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
