{"id":2955,"date":"2023-06-12T16:41:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-12T16:41:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/?p=2955"},"modified":"2023-06-12T16:41:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T16:41:51","slug":"senior-fbi-official-just-blew-3-gaping-holes-in-agencys-credibility-on-mar-a-lago-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/index.php\/2023\/06\/12\/senior-fbi-official-just-blew-3-gaping-holes-in-agencys-credibility-on-mar-a-lago-raid\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior FBI Official Just Blew 3 Gaping Holes in Agency\u2019s Credibility on Mar-a-Lago Raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the left-wing establishment once again seeks to \u201cget\u201d Donald Trump, a senior FBI official has testified that the first try was fraught with improprieties which makes the raid on Mar-a-Lago look like a political hit job, not justice.<\/p>\n<p>In recent testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, senior FBI official Steven D\u2019Antuono testified that there were a number of violations of procedure that taint the August 2022 raid on Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago home that was supposedly meant to reclaim\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/joe-biden-classified-documents-bomb-dropped-live-jesse-watters-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">classified documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019Antuono said he has \u201cstrong concerns\u201d over the broken rules made by FBI officers during the raid. D\u2019Antuono is a former Assistant Director of the FBI\u2019s Washington Field Office, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/federal-agencies\/new-testimony-reveals-senior-fbi-official-expressed-strong-concerns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Just the News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The official\u2019s concerns were detailed in a letter sent by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.<\/p>\n<p>In his letter, Jordan noted that D\u2019Antuono \u201cnoted several unusual features in the Department\u2019s handling\u201d of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-announces-major-legal-action-illegal-raid-mar-lago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raid on Mar-a-Lago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HJ6OCQMrjK\">pic.twitter.com\/HJ6OCQMrjK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Rep. Jim Jordan (@Jim_Jordan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan\/status\/1667271439743844352?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 9, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. D\u2019Antuono, who had over two decades of FBI experience, noted his frustration that the FBI was going to be \u2018left holding the bag again\u2019 with respect to the search of President Trump\u2019s residence,\u201d Jordan added.<\/p>\n<p>The former FBI agent saw \u201cseveral abnormalities\u201d with the Bureau leading up to the raid, even as the same agency seems unconcerned by piles of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/thinking-biden-humiliated-peter-doocy-storing-classified-docs-next-corvette\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">classified documents<\/a>\u00a0found in now-President Joe Biden\u2019s garage.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, D\u2019Antuono could not understand why the raid was assigned to the Washington Field Office instead of the Miami office in Florida near where Mar-a-Lago is located. That right there made the raid seem political, instead of a matter of law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan also noted that D\u2019Antuono said the Bureau never got any consent to search Trump\u2019s home before getting the search warrant and also didn\u2019t wait for Trump\u2019s attorney to get on site before cutting locks and barging in.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the U.S. Justice Dept. neglected to assign a U.S. Attorney to the case to oversee the FBI\u2019s raid. Why was the DOJ so oddly left out of the process, the official wondered.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of Jordan\u2019s letter was to seek answers for these breaches of protocol from Garland\u2019s office. And the Congressman asked for all documents on the Mar-a-Lago raid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease provide this information as soon as possible but not later than 5:00 p.m. on June 16, 2023,\u201d Jordan\u2019s letter concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan\u2019s letter reveals that there were serious lapses in the process during the raid, all of which seem to point to a political motive, not any questions of law.<\/p>\n<p>There are many other serious questions about that 2022 raid, as well.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, in April it was learned that Biden and the White House lied when it said that it had no involvement in the raid on Trump\u2019s Florida home.<\/p>\n<p>For nearly a year, Biden maintained that he had no notice and didn\u2019t have any part in the raid. But a Freedom of Information Act request conducted by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/shocker-biden-admin-lied-white-houses-involvement-mar-lago-raid-legal-org-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">America First Legal<\/a>\u00a0found that Biden\u2019s White House did interact with the FBI and tried to instigate the raid with a \u201cspecial access request.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group said that the records show that \u201cBiden officials in the Executive Office of the President and the Department of Justice unlawfully abused their power and then lied about it to the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is also a concern over the fact that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/joe-biden-classified-documents-bomb-dropped-live-jesse-watters-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FBI visited Trump\u2019s home<\/a>\u00a0over the same documents two months before the raid and many wonder why they didn\u2019t just take the documents then?<\/p>\n<p>In addition, why didn\u2019t the FBI mount armed raids of Mike Pence, Joe Biden, or Barack Obama\u2019s homes after documents were reported in their possession? Only Trump was raided in a full circus show.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, Trump seems to be preparing to face this head-on. His lawyer recently advised against taking a plea deal,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trumps-lawyer-advises-against-plea-deal-classified-doc-case\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fox News<\/a>\u00a0reported Sunday, signaling that they are ready to go the distance with the case.<\/p>\n<p>There are a lot of questionable actions on behalf of the government here, not the least of which is the DOJ\u2019s complete lack of interest in the many decades of the same behavior from Biden,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-lawyer-classified-documents-found-mike-pences-residence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pence<\/a>, and Obama, that Garland claims is such a tremendous crime in Trump\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>It certainly looks like an effort by the president of the United States to use the powers of law enforcement to destroy his political opponent in a coming election as opposed to any effort to uphold the law.<\/p>\n<p>This article appeared originally on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the left-wing establishment once again seeks to \u201cget\u201d Donald Trump, a senior FBI official has testified that the first try was fraught with improprieties which makes the raid on Mar-a-Lago look like a political hit job, not justice.
