Fox News could take another hit after a big name announced his departure from \u2018The Five.\u2019 Geraldo Rivera stated on Twitter that his last appearances on \u2018The Five\u2019 will be in the next few weeks. The constantly criticized host may or may not be missed, but it shows a little bit of instability for Fox News weeks after they parted ways with ratings beast Tucker Carlson who\u2019s been releasing\u00a0Tucker on Twitter episodes<\/a>\u00a0independently.<\/p>\n

Geraldo Rivera\u2019s Twitter post said the following \u201cMorning, it\u2019s official, I\u2019m off\u00a0<\/span>@TheFive<\/span><\/em>. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th. It\u2019s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn\u2019t always easy. For the time being, I\u2019m still Correspondent at Large.<\/em>\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

One of Geraldo Rivera\u2019s recent appearances on Fox News, a few weeks ago, had him talking about the \u2018crisis\u2019 going on in cities like New York and Rivera suggested handouts like expedited work permits, bypassing \u2018red tape\u2019. That sparked instant backlash under the suggestion that giving handouts would incentivize more people to flood the border.<\/p>\n

Rivera often clashed with the more Conservative hosts on \u2018The Five\u2019 which was essentially his purpose during his time on the show. Rivera\u2019s commentary lead to plenty of criticism from fans of\u00a0\u2018The Five\u2019<\/a>\u00a0as the more right-wing audience had a lot to say about him, as noted in some of the Twitter posts below.<\/p>\n

Geraldo Rivera received a mix of replies to his Twitter post announcing his departure. User \u2018pc6tex9\u2019 had an interesting comment about Geraldo Rivera, calling him a \u201cwind sock\u201d\u00a0as quoted<\/a>: \u201cBeing Odd Man Out\u201d. That\u2019s your path you chose. You flop back and forth more than a fish out of water. But always end up on the left.\u00a0You are a wind sock, whichever way the wind blows in the benefit of your narrative, that\u2019s the way you go. You won\u2019t be missed!<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
