Because had the 14th Amendment actually had us on equal footing they would have been able to vote. And you know why that change? Because people got out and made a change,\u201d said Goldberg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho wants to get hit by water from a water hose?\u201d she asked defiantly. \u201cNobody! But that\u2019s what people did in order to get the vote. So when you say you don\u2019t know what diversity is, I say you\u2019re full of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goldberg\u2019s co-hosts quickly joined in, with Joy Behar expressing her disgust for the legacy policies of institutions like Harvard. \u201cMy father was a truck driver. My mother was a sewing machine operator. I didn\u2019t have anyone in my family who went to Harvard.\u201d Behar is not a graduate of Harvard.<\/p>\n<p>She continued:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt plays into what they\u2019re talking about on the right of this post-racial society that we\u2019re living in. Because we elected a Black president they think that racism is over. It\u2019s not. And that\u2019s what bothers me about this rolling back and also what bothers me is what\u2019s next? Gay marriage? I mean they want to get rid of abortion rights which they practically have done. Now it\u2019ll be gay rights,\u201d Behar roared.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Republican\u2019 co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin quickly jumped in to point out that marriage equality was codified by the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>In his concurring opinion,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/trendingpoliticsnews.com\/clarence-thomas-obliterates-ketanji-brown-jacksons-race-infused-world-view-in-epic-opinion-on-affirmative-action-mstef\/\">Justice Thomas<\/a>\u00a0decried the \u201crace-based world view\u201d of his colleague, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, and liberals who believe race-based affirmative action should remain in place to account for the socioeconomic disadvantages of minority students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[I]t is an insult to individual achievement and cancerous to young minds seeking to push through barriers, rather than consign themselves to permanent victimhood,\u201d Thomas wrote.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whoopi Goldberg let loose on ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d Thursday morning in the wake of a massive\u00a0decision\u00a0by the U.S. Supreme Court to effectively ban the use of race-based affirmative action on the nation\u2019s college campuses.
