\u201cSound of Freedom<\/a>\u201d has been dominating box offices across the country in places like Florida and Texas its first weekend out after taking the number one spot across the country on its release day July 4.<\/p>\n

The film \u2014 which deals with the horrors of human trafficking \u2014 has done\u00a0incredibly well<\/a>\u00a0in the middle of the country and the southern portion of the United- States, becoming number one movie over the July 7-9 weekend at multiplexes in Dallas\/Fort Worth, Houston, Phoenix, and Miami\/Ft. Lauderdale, and Salt Lake City, according to Comscore data.<\/p>\n

It ended up beating Disney\u2019s highly-anticipated Harrison Ford sequel \u201cIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny\u201d along with \u201cInsidious: Red Door\u201d its opening weekend in these places, the outlet noted.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Jim Caviezel<\/a>-lead film has earned \u2014 over its 8 days run \u2014 a total of more than $45 million at the domestic box office, according to\u00a0Box Office Mojo<\/a><\/p>\n

. It also earned a coveted A+ CinemaScore, which generally guarantees strong word of mouth, THR noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cSound of Freedom\u201d comes from AngelStudios movie \u2014 the same company responsible for the popular faith-based television series, \u201cThe Chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Angel Studios CEO Neal Harmon said in a statement that their movie has taken on a \u201clife of its own.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis movie has now taken on a life of its own to become something more than that, a grassroots movement,\u201d Harmon said. \u201cThe world needs to see \u2018Sound of Freedom\u2019 and we know that our biggest competitive advantage \u2014 our incredible fans and investors \u2014 are going to make sure that happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the film\u2019s success over the weekend, the \u201cPassion of the Christ\u201d star\u00a0shared a video<\/a>\u00a0with followers thanking them for \u201cnot letting the media silence\u201d this movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always said do you want to be liked by many, the world, Hollywood, or do you want to be loved by one, which is God,\u201d Caviezel said in the clip. \u201cBecause love don\u2019t come from man it comes from above.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019m sitting here thinking about all you amazing Americans that are fighting the battle and helping us in this war against the greatest evil that has ever been,\u201d he added. \u201cBecause you know that God\u2019s children are not for sale.\u201d<\/p>\n
