{"id":3286,"date":"2023-07-16T19:48:48","date_gmt":"2023-07-16T19:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/?p=3286"},"modified":"2023-07-16T19:48:48","modified_gmt":"2023-07-16T19:48:48","slug":"father-who-punched-his-baby-daughter-to-death-is-found-dead-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/index.php\/2023\/07\/16\/father-who-punched-his-baby-daughter-to-death-is-found-dead-in-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Father who punched his baby daughter to death is found dead in prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who punched and shook his two-day-old baby daughter to death has been found dead in his prison cell.<\/p>\n<p>Liam Deane, 22, was convicted of murder earlier this year after a court heard that he attacked the newborn child when she \u201cwould not stop crying\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The baby, named Luna, had been left with her father while her mother went to sleep on July 10 at their home in Wakefield<\/p>\n<p>The court heard that Deane punched the baby in the face, shook her and squeezed her.<\/p>\n<p>She died in intensive care at Leeds infirmary after suffering \u201ccatastrophic brain injuries\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Deane subsequently broke down during a police interview and admitted the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Another prisoner has been charged with Deane\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<p>John Westland, 28, appeared at Leeds Magistrates court and was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man who punched and shook his two-day-old baby daughter to death has been found dead in his prison cell.
