Her recent misfortunes have not gone unnoticed by Joe Barron, the entertainment director at NBC. Barron has announced that Milano\u2019s \u201cWho\u2019s the Boss\u201d reboot is no longer going ahead.<\/p>\n
Barron stated, \u201cGiven the recent events and Milano\u2019s instability, it would not be wise to put her in charge of such a large and significant project. Even with the guidance of Tony Danza, there is a high likelihood that things could go wrong.\u201d The show was originally slated to have a minimum of two seasons and 36 episodes, however, according to Barron, \u201cIt is not just on the backburner, it has been scrapped altogether.\u201d<\/p>\n
While there is always a chance that the show could be picked up by another streaming service, NBC\u2019s Peacock service has shown no interest. Milano\u2019s show was slated to revolve around the theme of \u201cwokeness\u201d and was to feature the character of a wealthy single mother who divorces her husband after realizing she is a lesbian. Instead of hiring a hunky nanny and his adorable child, Milano\u2019s character was looking to hire a slightly masculine yet still attractive housekeeper, similar to the character of Jo from \u201cFacts of Life\u201d and her 19-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n
Milano was quoted as saying, \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to do a provocative scene with her. She\u2019s a hot commodity.\u201d This kind of behavior could be seen as grooming, and is one of the reasons NBC ultimately decided to abandon the project.
