A pair\u00a0of deputies from Brevard County, Florida, received\u00a0praise\u00a0for assisting a family that seemed to be down on its luck.<\/p>\n

Two police officers in the Brevard County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Deputy Sean Cronin and Field Training Officer Anthony Gonnelly, noticed\u00a0that a mother and her family were going through hard times during a stop for a minor traffic violation in Cocoa, Florida, WOFL reported.<\/p>\n

The officers then decided to help the struggling family out.<\/p>\n

They contacted the county\u2019s Community Services Team to ask for help in obtaining a car seat and purchasing household groceries for the family.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Two staff members helped them find a car seat\u00a0and then went grocery shopping.<\/p>\n

The items were delivered to the grateful family later that same day.<\/p>\n

Although the car seat was donated, the officers reportedly paid for the groceries out of their own pockets.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is actions like this and many others that make me so proud of the men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff\u2019s Office who do everything they can to protect our community,\u201d Sheriff Wayne Ivey wrote in a\u00a0post on the department\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Commenters responding to the post praised the officers\u2019 thoughtful actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to the deputies and the CSU team for doing the right thing and helping someone in need,\u201d one person\u00a0wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to very these awesome deputies!!!\u201d another commented. \u201cJust shows what they are made of\u2026Very compassionate and caring!!\u201d<\/p>\n
