A strip club in Michigan drew flak from locals after posting a joke sign which offered jobs to new high school graduates. The sign said that they were looking for \u201cgorgeous, confident, and talented women that can own the dance floor,\u201d with no mention of the specific age requirements, but was aimed at fresh high school graduates.<\/p>\n

The topless bar club in Harrison, which is named Miceli\u2019s Corner, has gone viral for their controversial message on the sign: \u201cNow Hiring Class of 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sign has gone viral on social media, often taking criticism and outrage from the local residents, saying that the sign was giving young girls a message that just wasn\u2019t right.<\/p>\n

Local Lisa Mulholland said the club\u2019s sign was inappropriate and sends the wrong message to high school graduates.<\/p>\n

She also told WNEM: \u201cIf you\u2019re a graduate you want to go to college.\u201d<\/p>\n

She does admit that she herself has no issue with the club, but that the sign was just in very poor taste. \u201cThey\u2019re good people, but I still don\u2019t think it\u2019s right. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s right at all,\u201d Mulholland said in her interview.<\/p>\n

Another resident, Lisa Dickerson, also agreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cChildren fresh out of high school shouldn\u2019t be taking their clothes off for money. I think it\u2019s sickening,\u201d she continues.<\/p>\n

The club has not immediately responded to phone calls regarding the sign, but they have issued an official apology to WNEM, saying that the sign just \u2018meant to be a joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn no way were we trying to offend anybody. The sign was simply a joke,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

The club has been around since the 1970\u2019s and offers visitors with \u201cmild and welcoming atmosphere\u201d where the \u201cgirls will take your mind off your daily troubles\u201d as you listen to \u201cthe most modern music.\u201d<\/p>\n
