In his condolence message on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump described Dobbs as \u201can incredible talent\u201d and a \u201cfriend and truly amazing reporter, journalist, and artist.\u201d \u201cLou was unique, and he loved our nation,\u201d Trump continued.<\/p>\n
Before switching to television in the middle of the 1970s and joining NBC\u2019s King-TV in Seattle, Dobbs began his career at KBLU radio in Arizona. He was one of CNN\u2019s first reporters, hosting the business news program Moneyline in 1980.<\/p>\n
Due to controversy surrounding his coverage of illegal immigration, Dobbs departed CNN in 2009. He began hosting \u201cLou Dobbs Tonight\u201d on Fox Business in 2010 and continued until its cancellation in 2021.<\/p>\n
