In an interview with\u00a0Fox & Friends,<\/em>\u00a0Melania Trump, whose husband sworn in as a president of the United States for the second time on January 20, spoke about being a First Lady again. Asked if there would\u00a0be any differences in how she and Donald moved into the White House this time, compared to their move after the administration of the Obamas, she didn\u2019t hold back.<\/p>\n

Among the rest, Melania said, \u201cThe difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first time was challenging, we didn\u2019t have much of the information, the information was upheld (withheld) for us from previous administration.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, this wasn\u2019t everything Melania Trump had to say about the Obamas.<\/h2>\n

In her book titles\u00a0Melania,\u00a0<\/em>the Slovenian-born former model<\/a>\u00a0said the Obamas denied the family \u2018crucial\u2019 early access to the residence. This resulted in delays with the renovations.<\/p>\n

Moreover, \u201cprotocols and politics\u201d interrupted the smooth transition she hoped for.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately my plans to begin preparing the residence before the inauguration were disrupted by protocols and politics,\u201d she wrote in her bestseller book.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly our team did not receive the access we had requested to visit the White House residence in December.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Melania wanted to provide suitable conditions for her son, Barron.<\/h2>\n

Her son was attending Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in New York City. She and Barron only moved to the White House after the end of the school year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile the logistics of relocating can be challenging, my priority was to create a sense of stability and familiarity for Barron during this transition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was dedicated to ensuring that he had a smooth and positive experience,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Melania recalled that she started the renovations after they moved to the White House, as the Obamas broke a \u2018customary\u2019 tradition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose three weeks would have been crucial for taking measurements, gathering plans, and starting preparations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Further, she opened up about the condition of the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue residence when Donald took office.<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe existing style was outdated or not to my taste,\u201d Melania wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarron\u2019s room was a priority. He was the first young boy to live in the White House since John Kennedy Jr.\u201d However, the children\u2019s bedrooms had been decorated for girls for sixty years. The mom of one wanted to create a place that would suit her son\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, former First Lady Michelle Obama did not join her husband at Trump\u2019s swearing-in ceremony.<\/p>\n
