In another move against his predecessor, Trump vowed to overturn the Biden administration\u2019s plan to phase out single-use plastics. Announced last summer, the initiative aimed to eliminate plastic straws, bottles, and cutlery from federal operations by 2035 to combat plastic pollution.<\/p>\n
Trump dismissed the policy as \u201cridiculous,\u201d announcing on Truth Social that he would sign an executive order restoring plastic straws. \u201cBACK TO PLASTIC!\u201d he declared, criticizing paper straws as ineffective.<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t the first time Trump has opposed such bans\u2014he previously mocked paper straws in 2020, saying they \u201cdisintegrate as you drink.\u201d<\/p>\n
