Karoline Leavitt\u00a0addressed her 32-year age gap with husband Nicholas Riccio. The couple married in January, days before President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s second inauguration.<\/p>\n

Leavitt, the youngest White House press secretary in history at 27, published wedding pictures on Instagram on Monday, March 12, writing that she \u201cfinally found some time to post a few of my favorite pictures from one of my favorite days!\u201d<\/p>\n

In a recent interview on\u00a0The Megyn Kelly Show<\/em>, Leavitt commented on her \u201catypical\u201d relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and he’s my rock,\u201d she raved of Riccio, 59, a wealthy real estate developer. \u201cHe’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple met when Leavitt was running for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022. She won the Republican nomination, but ultimately lost the seat to Democrat Chris Pappas. The campaign served as a springboard to advancements in Leavitt\u2019s personal and professional lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cA mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,\u201d she recalled of meeting Riccio. \u201cI was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.\u201d<\/p>\n

When pressed by Kelly, Leavitt admitted that she did have some hesitation about their age gap at first. \u201cI mean it’s a very atypical love story but he’s incredible,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s the father of my child and he’s the best dad I could ever ask for,\u201d Leavitt continued. \u201cAnd he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life… I say, \u2018I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since,\u2019 but God bless him because he’s fully on board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leavitt and Riccio got engaged over the Christmas holiday in 2023 and welcomed their son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, nicknamed \u201cNiko,\u201d on July 10, 2024.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s true when they say there\u2019s nothing comparable to the love you feel for your child,” Leavitt wrote in\u00a0her Instagram post\u00a0announcing the birth of her son. “My heart has grown bigger than I ever imagined possible. Babies are the ultimate blessing and I\u2019m bursting with gratitude for our beautiful, happy, healthy boy.”<\/p>\n

Shortly after giving birth, she returned to work on the Trump campaign, saying she was motivated to forgo maternity leave following\u00a0the July 13 assassination attempt\u00a0on Trump in Butler, Pa.<\/p>\n

\u201cI looked at my husband and said, \u2018Looks like I\u2019m going back to work,\u2019 \u201d she told\u00a0The Conservateur<\/em>\u00a0in an October 2024 interview.<\/p>\n

Leavitt told Kelly that her millionaire husband is nothing but supportive of all she does \u2014 though she\u2019s previously explained that she doesn\u2019t feel the need to show him off on social media.<\/p>\n
