{"id":7207,"date":"2025-05-16T11:39:10","date_gmt":"2025-05-16T11:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/?p=7207"},"modified":"2025-05-16T11:39:10","modified_gmt":"2025-05-16T11:39:10","slug":"trumps-former-advisor-says-he-will-run-for-office-again-in-2028","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/index.php\/2025\/05\/16\/trumps-former-advisor-says-he-will-run-for-office-again-in-2028\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump\u2019s former advisor says he will run for office again in 2028"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The idea of a \u201cTrump 2028\u201d presidency might sound far-fetched, but former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon insists it\u2019s a real possibility.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite the U.S. Constitution\u2019s 22nd Amendment explicitly barring any individual from serving more than two terms as president, Bannon claims Donald Trump and his team are exploring \u201cmany different alternatives\u201d to return to office; potentially for a third time.<\/p>\n<p>Bannon\u2019s remarks surfaced on the Apocalypse Now? podcast, where he confidently predicted that Trump would not only run again but \u201cbe in the White House signing executive orders\u201d on January 20, 2029.<\/p>\n<p>He doubled down in a separate interview with\u00a0NewsNation, stating: \u201cWe have many different alternatives to make sure\u00a0President Trump\u2026 is the President of the United States. And we will roll those out over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His comments come shortly after unofficial \u201cTrump 2028\u201d merchandise hit the market, featuring slogans like \u201cRewrite the Rules\u201d, a possible nod to overturning or bypassing the 22nd Amendment, which was introduced in 1951 following Franklin D. Roosevelt\u2019s four-term presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Legal experts, however, stress that a third term remains constitutionally prohibited. Law professor Danny Karon outlined three hypothetical workarounds to\u00a0LADbible: Trump could run as vice president under an ally like\u00a0JD Vance, be appointed vice president and ascend through succession, or attempt to amend the Constitution itself.
