Brewer, who played for the Vikings and Golden Gophers, lamented the decline of civility and safety in Minnesota under Walz\u2019s leadership, calling the state \u201cthe capital of chaos.\u201d He blamed the liberal political climate in Minneapolis and St. Paul for fostering division and violence, accusing both Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison of enabling a dangerous environment. Authorities continue the manhunt for 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter, the suspect in the shootings. Boelter, who once served on Minnesota\u2019s Workforce Development Board under both Gov. Governor Walz, while condemning the violence as a \u201cpolitically motivated assassination,\u201d did not mention Boelter\u2019s prior appointment. Walz emphasized the importance of peaceful political discourse and pledged full state support to local law enforcement. Brewer, however, dismissed Walz\u2019s response, claiming the state\u2019s leadership is weak and ideologically extreme, warning that dissent within the Democratic Party is increasingly met with hostility.
