While prosecutors prepare charges, the case has split public opinion\u2014between law enforcement\u2019s evidence and a grandmother\u2019s unwavering belief in her grandson\u2019s innocence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tyler Robinson, 22, the man arrested in connection with the\u00a0assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, comes from a MAGA family, his grandmother has revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Although MAGA figureheads have been quick to point fingers at the left for Kirk\u2019s death, Tyler\u2019s grandmother, Debbie Robinson, 69, insisted that they come from a family of Trump supporters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">She spoke with\u00a0<i>Daily Mail<\/i> on Friday after news of Robinson\u2019s arrest broke. \u201cMy son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump,\u201d Debbie told the outlet. \u201cMost of my family members are Republican. I don\u2019t know any single one who\u2019s a Democrat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the outlet, Robinson\u2019s father, Matt, 48, was the one to turn Tyler into the authorities after he confessed to the grisly crime. Kirk\u2019s death is assumed to have been a political assassination, as he was a prominent MAGA activist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to public records, Robinson\u2019s parents are both registered Republicans. His mother, Amber Robinson, 44, is a licensed social worker. His father, Matt Robinson, runs a business installing kitchen countertops, cabinets, and stone surfaces in their home city of Washington, Utah. Both of them have held hunting licenses.
