{"id":8419,"date":"2025-10-16T00:19:41","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T00:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/?p=8419"},"modified":"2025-10-16T00:19:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T00:19:41","slug":"trump-defiant-after-court-ruling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynewsintime.net\/index.php\/2025\/10\/16\/trump-defiant-after-court-ruling\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump Defiant After Court Ruling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u00a0struck a defiant tone late Friday after a federal appeals court invalidated most of his sweeping tariffs \u2014 but left them in place for now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT!<\/em>\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social, blasting the 7-4 appeals court decision as \u201chighly partisan\u201d and warning that if the tariffs were removed, \u201cit would literally destroy the United States of America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled Trump exceeded presidential authority under emergency powers by declaring trade deficits and drug trafficking as \u201cnational emergencies.\u201d The Constitution reserves tariff powers for Congress, though presidents have been delegated broad authority over the decades.<\/p>\n<p>The court\u2019s decision complicates Trump\u2019s trade strategy, which reshaped decades of U.S. policy and brought in more than\u00a0<strong>$142 billion<\/strong>\u00a0in tariff revenue by July. His administration has warned revoking them could lead to \u201cfinancial ruin\u201d for the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the ruling, the tariffs remain in place as Trump vows to take the case all the way to the\u00a0<strong>Supreme Court<\/strong>. \u201cAt the start of this Labor Day weekend, we should all remember that TARIFFS are the best tool to help our Workers, and support Companies that produce great MADE IN AMERICA products,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The fight now heads into uncharted legal territory \u2014 and could determine whether a president can unilaterally use tariffs as a weapon in global trade wars.<\/p>\n<p><em>What do you think?
