Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki sparked backlash this week after mocking Vice President JD Vance and making comments about his wife, Usha.<\/p>\n
Psaki, who now hosts her own program on MSNBC, made the remarks during an appearance on the \u201cI\u2019ve Had It\u201d podcast on Tuesday while discussing Vance\u2019s political ambitions, The Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the little Manchurian candidate JD Vance wants to be president more than anything else,\u201d Psaki told hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie \u201cPumps\u201d Sullivan.<\/p>\n
She accused the vice president of being \u201cwilling to do anything to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s scarier in certain ways,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cHe\u2019s a chameleon who makes himself into whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear from him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The former press secretary said she does not believe Vance can \u201ctake the whole [MAGA] movement with him,\u201d calling him a politician with \u201cno rizz,\u201d a slang term for charisma.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe just is a little odd,\u201d she added. \u201cTrump\u2019s odd in a different way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Psaki then turned her focus to Vance\u2019s marriage, taking aim at his wife Usha, with whom he shares three children.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always wonder what\u2019s going on in the mind of his wife,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cLike, \u2018Are you OK? Blink four times. Come over here, we\u2019ll save you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Vance responded on Thursday to Psaki\u2019s insults by laughing them off and offering praise to his wife.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s disgraceful, but of course the second lady can speak for herself. I am very lucky to have a wonderful wife, and I know \u2014 at least I hope \u2014 that my wife feels the same about me. I\u2019m honored to have Usha by my side,\u201d the vice president said.<\/p>\n

Her comments were immediately met with sharp criticism on social media.<\/p>\n
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung blasted Psaki, suggesting she was \u201ctransferring her own personal issues onto others.\u201d<\/p>\n
He referred to her as \u201cJen Psucki\u201d and called her a \u201cdumba** who has no comprehension of the truth and has to overcompensate for her lack of talent by saying untrue things.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCircle back on that, moron,\u201d Cheung added.<\/p>\n
The Libs of TikTok account wrote that MSNBC \u201cshould be ashamed to pay her salary.\u201d<\/p>\n
Political commentator Link Lauren said Psaki and former Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre \u201care in competition this week to see who can be the worst press secretary.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth are on press tours,\u201d he said. \u201cBoth are utter calamities.\u201d<\/p>\n
Appearing on CBS Mornings Monday, Jean-Pierre said she \u201cnever saw someone who wasn\u2019t there.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw someone who understood policy, pushed us on policy and also understood history,\u201d she told the hosts.<\/p>\n
She repeated those comments on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, prompting Colbert to end the segment abruptly.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 81 years old, that\u2019s not entirely unexpected,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cYou can imagine why people got so worried.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jean-Pierre pushed back, insisting Biden \u201chad the mental acuity\u201d to govern.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe man that I saw nearly every day was someone who was engaging, understood policy, and was always putting the American people first,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Colbert replied that it takes more than that to be president.<\/p>\n
