Now, at the news of his death, fans all around the world are mourning this heartbreaking loss. Keep reading to learn more about Belzer\u2019s last days\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cHe passed at home early this morning in the south of France \u2014 in his home in the south of France \u2014 with his family around him,\u201d writer Bill Scheft, an old friend of the late actor confirmed to the media.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had lots of health issues, and his last words were, \u2018F\u2014 you, motherf\u2014er,\u2019\u201d Scheft told the media.<\/p>\n

Belzer had been diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1983. His diagnosis and treatment ultimately inspired his 1997 HBO comedy special \u201cAnother Lone Nut.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 1985, an incident occurred on Belzer\u2019s talk show. Professional wrestler, Hulk Hogan put Belzer in a chokehold which caused him to pass out and hit his head on the studio floor. Belzer sued the wrestler but the two of them made a settlement out of court.<\/p>\n

He first appeared as Munch on NBC\u2019s \u201cHomicide: Life on the Street\u201d in 1993, and later reprised the character on \u201cLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit.\u201d He appeared in nearly 330 episodes of \u201cSVU\u201d between 1999 and 2013 and also made additional cameos in 2014 and 2016.<\/p>\n

Belzer was also a self-proclaimed author and authored a book on his subject of interest; conspiracy theories. In 2016 he released a book titled \u201cHit List: An In-Depth Investigation into the Mysterious Deaths of Witnesses to the JFK Assassination.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other books the comedian and actor penned were titled \u201cUFOS, JFK, and Elvis: Conspiracies You Don\u2019t Have to be Crazy to Believe\u201d and \u201cDead Wrong: Straight Facts on the Country\u2019s Most Controversial Cover-Ups.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is now survived by his wife, Harlee McBride. They got married in 1985. The pair do not have any biological children together but McBride has two daughters from a previous marriage; Jessica and Shannon Benton.<\/p>\n
