Miley Cyrus is deeply saddened by the loss of her beloved dog, Mary Jane.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the \u201cMidnight Sky\u201d singer, who is 28 years old, disclosed that her dog had passed away after being diagnosed with cancer more than a year ago. The statement that she posted on her Instagram Story was quite extensive.<\/p>\n

She began her Story by saying, \u201cAnyone who knows me, and it doesn\u2019t have to be well, is aware that my dearest buddy in the whole world is a rescued pit bull mix named Mary Jane,\u201d before going on to discuss the dog\u2019s medical condition. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t the first time someone had told me to take my time appreciating her one-of-a-kind character, so the advice didn\u2019t come as a surprise. I had been for the previous decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer continued by saying that it is simple to \u201ctake things for granted\u201d and \u201clet minor miracles pass you by without moments of thankfulness,\u201d but that she \u201cnever once did I forget the gift I had been given\u201d when she was with her \u201cangel\u201d Mary Jane.<\/p>\n

According to what she wrote, \u201cshe was a dog with wings in a way.\u201d \u201cAs she exhaled her last breath, I thanked her over and over again for everything she had done for me and everything she had been to me. It was something more significant than a friend or a member of the family. Something entirely new and different. You can\u2019t define it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur communication was really heavenly. An unmatched affection, \u201cAdditionally, she said. \u201cWe have never been intentionally damaging to one another by anything we have said or done. We have never had an argument and then gone to bed angry. Our allegiance has never for a moment faltered.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cyrus proceeded by claiming that her dog had \u201csaved me every time my heart has been broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPut me back together again,\u201d was what she requested in her explanation. Going through this suffering without her magical power is such a solitary experience.<\/p>\n

Cyrus added that she believed it was her obligation to make sure that Mary Jane\u2019s final moments were as peaceful and pain-free as possible, as a way to return the favor for the dog\u2019s lifetime of care and love. Mary Jane had been her companion and best friend for her whole life.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite the fact that she is no longer in pain, I am. That is the essence of love, \u201cshe had written. \u201cMary Jane\u2019s passing was marked by dignity, grace, calm, and power. She treated everyone with kindness and compassion as her guiding principles throughout life. She could be courageous when she needed to be, but never for an extended period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would never allow the door to her soul to be shut. She led such a transparent life. The ability to love and to be loved, \u201cShe went on to say more. \u201cOh, that Mary Jane were more representative of all of us!\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer continued by posting a number of photographs and videos of Mary Jane during the course of her career. She captioned one of the photos with the words \u201cI\u2019m so lucky you were mine.\u201d<\/p>\n
